First thing you should know is enjoy happy endings more than anything. At 17 I left for college to study photography. After graduating, I found myself planning my own wedding, taking in all the beautiful Pinterest images. During the process I decided I loved everything about it. Since then, I started my own photography business and continue to live my dream documenting amazing love stories.
I'm a lover of blue skies and bright colors. As a photographer, my mission is to provide you with a fun and enjoyable experience, from the day that we meet to far beyond your wedding day. It is my mission to capture authentic moments that you can relive for the rest of your life.
You can rest assured, you have my full attention and commitment to you on your wedding day. Need me to capture a picture of the boy's socks - I'm on it! Need help bustling your dress - Let's do it! If you or your wedding party needs anything at all, I'm here for you. Your job is to be in love, and FINALLY get married! My job is to be the "author" of your story. I'm there for you, from the first eyelash curl to the last move that your family busts on the dance floor.
You can expect some sneak peaks as I start to edit your wedding (which I usually start I get home). I'll keep you updated on the process, and you can expect your photos no more than 12 weeks after your wedding. You will get all of your images in a digital gallery you can share with friends and family. Your package comes with print rights, but I have access to the best photo lab if you need help. I love keeping up with my clients, and consider all of them close friends. I'd love to do the same for you!
Our journey starts with coffee! Fill out the contact form below and lets get together and talk all things weddings! From day one, I'm here for you. I know you may not have done this before, but I have planned a wedding (and crashed a few) When you decide to book with Libby Sue, you get an engagement session, a guide with tips, guidance, amazing vendors, and more to help make everything easier. You'll receive a questionnaire from me that will help your day go smooth.

Libby did our engagement as well as wedding photos and we could not have been happier! She is thoughtful, professional and very easy to work with. Throughout the whole planning process up to the big day itself she went out of her way to make sure that our expectations were met. Libby managed to capture so many wonderful moments on our big day, and told our "story" so perfectly. We would highly recommend her for capturing any of life's special moments!
Libby took photos of my boyfriend and I on a beach at sunset. They turned out wonderfully and I have never felt more beautiful. She was professional and nice the entire time, and captured some beautiful moments.

Libby was our photographer for our wedding this past September! She was so kind and very easy to work with! She captured many beautiful shots of downtown Milwaukee and the day was an all-around pleasure! God bless you, Libby!

Beyond grateful for all the photos of our wedding! Of all the photographers I met with, Libby was the one that was the most professional in a genuine way. I was an absolute nervous wreck leading up to the wedding and wanting to make sure every moment was captured. She didn't try to brush my worries aside - she listened. When she shared the link of the edited photos, I couldn't belive my relief to see so much that my brain would never have remembered! She camptured so many precious moments and photos of the guests that I never asked for but warm my heart. As a plus sized girl I was afraid I'd hate myself in every photos, but she took so many beautiful candid and posed photos. A thousand thanks!!!

I'll treat your love story as if it were my own. You're part of the Libby Sue Photography Family now. I'll help you along the whole process, including creating a timeline that allows your wedding day to be your day. Weddings can be very stressful and overwhelming (I know - I planned one) but I'm there as a resource for you the entire time.
I'm your problem-solver and people-wrangler. I pride myself in capturing the moments of your day, not by just telling you to smile. Everything is natural, from your posing to the way I edit. If it rains, snows, hails, if hair and makeup is late or the groom is stuck in traffic, I've got you and your images will be amazing.
Absolutely! I'm a chronic worrier and will make sure we capture your wedding the safest way possible. Say something does happen (our gear falls in the ocean or spontaneously combusts) you'll be covered under our contract.
Yep, generally we take dinner as a break as you probably don't want pictures of people eating. Depending on how long your wedding is we may sneak away for a short break to have a snack or refill water. We prefer to eat in the room so we can be ready if we need to be.
Short answer - no. Most of the time I am a one-woman show, and get the most beautiful moments captured for you. However, some weddings may need a second photographer (like if you have more than 200 guests and/or a really big wedding party, or we'll need to travel to several locations on your day). For overnight/destination weddings I always bring a second shooter or assistant.
I'm in a a network of amazing photographers I can call upon. We will find someone to step in for us.
I always shoot for 6 weeks, it may take up to 12 weeks depending on the circumstances. You will get all your hi-resolution images in an online gallery and the link is sharable so your family can download them themselves (no having to send flash drives)
I very rarely take more than 1 wedding a week, and only make a few exceptions for this. I generally don't take more than 20 in a year. I enjoy my family more than anything and still work full time.
Nope. Generally my couples get around 500-1000 images, culled down from the 100-2000 we take. Some images are blurry, too dark, of the sky, or of uncle Bob picking his nose. You probably don't want to see those.
Yes but only if you book photography with Libby Sue Photography. Right now we only have equipment to document your day. If you want hi-quality video I have some amazing videographers I can refer you to.
Being as understanding as I can possibly be, If I have the new date open, we can transfer any payments to the new date and we're set! Otherwise I will find an associate photographer for you. A cancelation is handled per the terms of the contract.
Yes! And I love too! I've photographed weddings all over the globe and try to provide the most reasonable rates for travel
I promise, I'm very comfortable working in all types of lighting conditions. I can use available light (my favorite), or I have plenty of lights to create my own lighting (my other favorite).
When you sign a contract, you place a retainer which saves your date and is applied to your total invoice. The retainer amount is 25% of your total. You can make payments along the way!
Would you believe me if I said sometimes crazy weather makes for the best photos? I’ve shot in snowstorms, torrential rain, complete fog, and intense wind and truly, the photos that came out of those days are absolutely incredible. I’ll make sure we have backup plans should the weather be really bad, but I’m also all for leaning into the adverse weather! Plus, it makes for a really great story!
An engagement shoot is included in your package for a few reasons. It's always nice to have images of yourselves outside of your wedding dress and it's a great way for us to get to know each other. Not doing an engagement shoot will not take money off your package. The only discount I currently offer is a 20% military discount.
Yes! Just ask me in an email and I can send you what your online gallery would look like!
I can’t say enough good things about this wedding at the Barn at Trinity Peak. The weather was perfect, the decor was stunning, and Angie and Mike were so incredibly kind and laid-back. It makes it so easy for us when a client just sits back and lets us do our thing. Trust me, when you let the day go how it goes everyone is happier.
Haley and Justin’s wedding day perfectly captured the true experience of being a Wisconsinite. In the morning it was storming. By late afternoon, the grounds were clear and the sun shone steadily for the outdoor ceremony.
What a beautiful Lake Geneva wedding! Kelsey and Tyler met their Sophomore year of High School at Relay for life. A relay that I was actually at myself. I didn’t know until we met for the first time at they’re wedding that we actually all went to the same high school! If you don’t believe in love at first sight, this couple proves it.
I should start by saying I love dog people, but I love babies even more. Alison and Brandyn happened to have a dog and a baby, which makes my work like playtime. I also hold a special place in my heart for service men, and Brandyn and a number of his groomsmen were in the Air Force. I think I can say for myself, and everyone reading this, thank you.
This gorgeous backyard was something straight out of a Nicolas Sparks movie, I could probably pitch a tent and be happy living there forever. I am, however, sad I did not get to see the horses. I did get to see more pick-up trucks than I ever had in one place, but I was fore-warned in advance that this was a redneck wedding (exact words from the bridal party!)
