Vibhuti & Jesse – Part 1

I’ve been dying to share these photos, and I’m so happy to finally have the chance to showcase these. Vibhuti and Jesse were one of my first clients. It was a chance letting me be a part of not one wedding, but two! I was extremely blessed to make two new amazing friends and learn about a different culture.

Jesse is from Chicago, Vibhuti from India. Their paths crossed in Milwaukee. Both families came together for two beautiful ceremonies, some coming from the other side of the world for the first time, to witness one of the most beautiful love stories. Now, they’re living in Minnesota, both finishing up med school, on their way to make a huge difference in the world.

Let me also say that these photos have been put through the ringer. They are fairly old and if anyone knows anything about JPEGs it’s easy to see. I lost the original edits and some of the images didn’t transfer over well. This was also my first Hindu wedding, it’s just part of the learning process and these images are too special to me not to share with you.

Also, I think important to share, is what I learned about Hindu weddings. There are a lot of traditions that go into a Hindu ceremony, which you only get a very small piece of here. The officiant, whom I forgot the official title for (and couldn’t find on google) doesn’t speak any recoginizable language. Every so often he would stop and explain something in English, but most of the ceremony was preformed in an dialect that, in the best way I can explain, doesn’t exist.
